Insomniac shooter Fuse delayed to Q2

Insomniac’s upcoming multi platform shooter Fuse has been delayed into the second quarter of 2013, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen announced during the company’s third fiscal quarter earnings call.

“We’ve decided to move the launch of Fuse to Q1 of fiscal 2014,” Jorgensen explained. EA COO Peter Moore specified that the delay will allow Insomniac to polish up the game before its new release date, which will fall somewhere between April and the end of June.

Fuse was unveiled in 2011 as a game called Overstrike, with four-player co-op and a band of eccentric agents as the focal points. It was rebranded in August 2012. Despite its current proximity to release, there isn’t a lot of information about Fuse available other than its cover-based shooting mechanics. It was previously set to hit shelves in March.
